Accessibility at the Südpfalz Therme

Accessible Visit

‘Travel for All’ is the nationally recognized label for accessibility. Relevant information for guests is collected and evaluated against clear quality criteria. These criteria were developed over several years in collaboration and consultation with affected associations and tourism stakeholders. The Südpfalz Therme was evaluated by an external surveyor and awarded the ‘Accessibility Tested’ certificate by the testing body – accessible for people with walking disabilities, partially accessible for wheelchair users, and partially accessible for people with visual impairments.

Criteria for certification include not only the presence of facilities such as disabled parking spaces, an elevator, or accessible showers and toilets, but also, for example, the clear width of doors, maneuvering spaces, ground-level access, and aids for entering the swimming pool. As a health facility, the Südpfalz Therme is very committed to making its services accessible; for instance, in the Waldsauna, the bench can be folded up for wheelchair users, a mobile pool lift is available for the swimming pools, and wheelchairs are offered free of charge for use within the facility.

    This website is partially compliant with the Ordinance on the Creation of Accessible Information Technology (BITV 2.0) and the requirements of WCAG 2.1, Conformance Level AA. We provide our services and information on our website in accordance with Section 2 of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the associated ordinance (BFSGV). We are committed to designing our website and mobile applications to be accessible – in line with the provisions of the Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Accessibility Strengthening Act for the implementation of the European Accessibility Act (EAA). Our website has been specifically optimized for low-barrier or barrier-free use.

    • The order of keyboard focus is sometimes not logically comprehensible; moreover, the focus is not always clearly visible.
    • For not all interactive elements does the accessible name match the visible name.
    • Some PDF documents do not yet meet the requirements for accessible documents.
    • Content or functions originating from third-party providers and not fully controlled by the Südpfalz Therme (e.g., external booking systems, map services, social media feeds) may have barriers that we cannot directly resolve.

    We strive to work towards accessible alternatives or offer alternative ways. We are committed to continuously improving our website and progressively reducing barriers. Due to the scope of the content, it has not yet been possible to make all areas fully accessible.
